MUFFLERS REQUIRED

CLAIMED WEIGHT MUST BE POSTED ON DRIVER'S SIDE A-PILLAR

NO RADIOS OR MIRRORS ALLOWED

 

BODY

A. Lucas oil, Ultimate, SAS, Fuel Series Body Rules apply

B. All non-approved body parts will be subject to a weight penalty

C. Both sail panels must be the same on both sides. If open both sides must be open. No offset sail panels

D. Top of spoiler 47" max. No tolerance

E. SPOILER

Built engine or CT525 - 8” max height and 72” width, 8” sides

GM602 and 604 engines - 12” max height and 72” width , 12” sides

No more than 3 spoiler supports. Middle blade 8” only

CHASSIS \ FRAME

A. No aluminum or titanium frames or cages permitted. All tubing must be a minimum of 11/2” x .083 wall thickness

B. Must have 3 bars min in left door and 2 bars min in right door

C. 103” wheelbase min. (No tolerance) 1” tolerance side to side. (exp. 103 left side 104 right side)

D. No wings or tunnels of any kind allowed under body or chassis

 

TIRES

A. American Racers Spec 48

B. No grooving or siping. NO CHEMICALLY ALTERING

C. Tires are subject to be inspected at any time

 

WHEELS

A. Aluminum or steel 14” max width

 

FUEL

A. Racing fuel, E85 permitted

B. No alcohol, nitrous oxide permitted

 

TRANSMISSION

A. Racing transmission permitted (Bert, Brinn, Falcon etc…)

B. Any clutch permitted

C. Must have forward and reverse gears. No direct drives.

D. Must have working starter

 

CARBURETOR

A. One four barrel permitted

B. No dominator carbs will be allowed

 

INTAKE

A. Aluminum intake permitted.

B. One four-barrel type only

 

ENGINE 1

A.  WEIGHT – 362 CID – 2300lbs.

B.  CRANK – 47 LBS – 3.48 stroke

C.  RODS – 5.7 or 6 inch

D.  PISTONS – Flat top – 2 eyebrow

E.  HEADS – 23 degree cast iron, no ported or polished, no titanium valves.

F.  CAM – Flat tappet camshaft roller cam add 50lbs.

 

ENGINE 2

A.  WEIGHT – 525 Sealed Engine

                        376 CID – 2400lbs

                        (add 50lbs in front of engine plate on front rail.)

 

ENGINE 3

A.  WEIGHT – 365 CID max weight 2500lbs

                        362 CID -2450lbs Crank 348 stroke

 B.  HEAD – 23 degree only. May angle cut.

                     10 degree ford permitted must add 50lbs

                     NO RAISED RUNNER HEADS

 C.  CAM – Hydraulic, solid, or roller (shaft rockers permitted)

 D.  OIL – Any wet or dry sump system permitted

 

ENGINE 4

 A.  National spec heads can not be altered

 B.  Weight – 2400lbs

 C.  348 Stroke

 D.  Roller Cam Add 50lbs.

 

ENGINE PLACEMENT

A. Engine must not be more than 2” from center of frame rails. Measured from center of crankshaft bolt

B. Engine set back is to be 23 ¾” max from mid plate to center of rear top a-frame bolt. (NO TOLERANCE)

 

TRACTION CONTROL

A. No type of traction control will be allowed

 

WEIGHT RULE

A.  CT525 - 2400 lbs. Add 50lbs in front of engine plate on front rail.

B.  602 or 604 crate engine - 2250 lbs.

C.  362 CID with .348 stroke -2400 lbs. Roller cam add 50lbs.

D.  365 CID roller cam, ported and polished heads and dry sump. - 2500lbs

E.  Any engine with National Late Model heads - 2400 lbs. Roller cam add 50lbs.

CLAIMED WEIGHT MUST BE POSTED ON DRIVER SIDE A-PILLAR. IT IS NOT THE TECHNICAL INSPECTORS JOB TO KNOW WHAT ENGINE YOU HAVE.

 

ITEMS Not ALLOWED 

 1.    No spring rods

 2.    No air spring shocks. Shocks must be  able to fully compress by hand with spring removed

 3.    No lead bolted to rear end housing

 4.    Aluminum wheel spacers only

 5.    No air bags

 6.    No air dump systems

 7.    No air bump stops 

 8.    Any new components that have not been standard parts for past yrs.  must be approved before they are legal to use.

 9.    Spool only in rear end.

  

PROTEST FEES 

A.  BUILT ENGINE: one head, bore and stroke - $750 Track retains $200

B.  Engine placement and wheel base $200 Track retains $50

C.  CT525 rocker arms and valve springs - $400 Track retains $100

D.  CT525 claimer $8,700 as from GM. Track retains $200

E.  602 claimer $3,900 as from GM. Track retains $200. Protest $ 1,000 Tack retains $250. $750 goes to winner of protest

F.  604 claimer $6,200 as from GM. Track retains $200. Protest $1,000 Track retains $250. $750 goes to winner of protest

G. All crate engines protested will be confiscated by technical inspector and tear down will happen at PRUITT PERFORMANCE the following Monday

H.  Complete car BUILT ENGINE $1250 Track retains $325 CT525 $900 Track retains $250 602 or 604 $ 1,500 Track retains $400

I.  Tire protest $125 per tire. Fee to be paid by both teams. If tire is legal, team being protested gets money back. If tire is illegal, team that protested gets money back.

 

VISUAL PROTEST

A.  Must be made before event starts

B.  $25 per item

C.  Track retains 100%

 

2 people from each team will be allowed in tech area during tear-down. If either party misbehaves in any way during tear-down, the protest will stop and misbehaving team will be disqualified
